'Black Girl'
(La Noire de ... / the black girl of...)
1966 film directed by Oosmane Sembene.
The film centers on Diouana, a young Senegalese women who moves from Senegal to France, to work for a rich french couple. In France, Diouana hopes to continue her former job as a nanny, and looks forward to a cosmopolitan lifestyle. However, upon arrival in Antibes, the couple begins to treat Diouana more harshly and she is forced to work in the capacity of a servent. Diouana becomes increasingly aware of her constrained and alienated situation.

Ben Hawkins was set lighting to make sure our OTS was in the right light etc... He has some examples of how he prepared for this task on his blog ... He also has a piece on concept and scripting which Ben Cawdron and himself were in charge of.
Ben Cawdron has videos of himself talking to youu about everything he has done ... this includes the door task, which has now been uploaded to all of our blogs for you to watch =)
Jay Martin was the cameraman ... and has put the alterations we made to our final cut of the OTS on his blog ... Also, 'Market Research' that we did, and the film classification we finally decided on.
Me ... I was the Director of the group which the boys didn't mind about (I don't think) although they didn't have a choice! If I hadn't taken charge, we would not have gotten as far as we have now because their lack of organization... I did the time-keeping and sorted when we would all get together.

- My name is Jayde Hudson, Im 17 years old and this is the first time i have ever done Media Studies before....so EVERYTHING is new to me ... I am not finding it as hard as I thought I would, just the terminology is a bit tricky to get your head around at first. I am in my second year of 6th Form but the first of Media ... so far it is going well ( I think ) and I know I can do well overall (sounds like Im 'Blowing my own trumpet', but I know Im capable of it) and I won't be happy with anything less than a 'A' so that is what im aiming for... but realisticly, I could live with a 'B' ... =]
